Cranemaster AS was established in 1983 and is currently located in magnificent premises by the waterfront in Stathelle. There are 16 of us working closely with the largest lifting companies worldwide, assisting in the installation of offshore wind farms, and the development of offshore oil and gas fields.
When installation operations are planned, companies come to us for help in how they can make the operation more robust, using our equipment. We offer rental and sales of our unique heave compensators, and shock absorbers, that increase the operating window and ensure the lifting operation. We have a large fleet of Cranemaster units for all kinds of lifts with weights up to 2000 tons that are shipped from Stathelle to all corners of the globe, and we have technicians who participate in the operations when needed. We continuously work on developing greater capacity and complexity in our units, to ensure that we stay at the forefront of the development within these important and exciting markets.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a genuine interest in how forces interact with each other. Our competent engineering team solves any challenge related to dynamic forces and wave motion, using existing technology or through the development of tailored solutions.

Tasks and responsibilities:
- Analysis and calculation of offshore lifts and mechanical structures
- Develop conceptual designs in collaboration with the technical team to create new solutions for heave compensation
- Run simulations to predict and optimize system performance under extreme conditions
- Identify and realize potential improvements and efficiencies
- Prepare high-quality technical documentation
Desired qualifications and experience:
- An engineering degree in Mechanical, Marine, Offshore Technology, Physics, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the offshore, or marine industry
- Curiosity and motivation to contribute to our team of professionals
You will report to the CTO.
